What's new in VeggieCrush v1.8

Invite a friend and grow together: every gardener now gets a personal invite link, and you both earn points when your mate gets planting. Plus a tidy fix so notifications stop cleanly when you log out.

VeggieCrush v1.8 is out now, and it is a warm little one, all about company. The headline is a way to bring a friend along for the grow, so your solo patch can become a bit of a growing circle. Alongside it is a tidy fix so signing out behaves itself.

What’s new

Invite a friend, grow together

Gardening is lovelier with someone to compare notes with, someone to swap seedlings with, someone to gently show up in the group chat with a photo of their first ripe tomato. Now VeggieCrush makes it easy to bring a mate along.

Every gardener now has their very own personal invite link, ready to share however you like: a text, a chat, a quiet word over the back fence. Send it to a friend, they tap it, and they land straight into VeggieCrush, ready to start their own patch.

Here is the lovely part: you both get rewarded. When your friend joins through your link, points come their way, and yours too. Your reward has one gentle condition, and it is a nice one: it unlocks the moment your friend truly gets growing, by adding their very first plant to track. So it is not about racking up sign-ups, it is about actually helping someone plant something real. A friend who plants is a friend who sticks around, and that is the whole point.

You will find your invite link in two easy spots. It appears on your Achievement screen when you reach a meaningful milestone, a little nudge to share the love right when you are feeling chuffed with your progress. And it sits quietly as a permanent card at the bottom of your Home screen, always there when the mood to share strikes, never in the way when it does not.

A tidy fix for signing out

We also chased down a niggle around logging out. Previously, notifications tied to your old account could keep arriving even after you had signed out. Now signing out does exactly what it says on the tin: when you log out, the notifications stop cleanly, so a shared phone or a switched account stays properly separate. A small thing, but the sort of small thing that should simply work.

Update now

Head to the App Store or Google Play, update to v1.8, then grab your invite link and share it with a mate. Watch two gardens grow instead of one.

Know it, grow it.
